Politics
I'm not one that usually gets involved in all things political, but by the very nature of my job I'm often dragged kicking and screaming into the middle of political battles. Such is the case this week. Head office people are coming down to scream and yell about my hugely important project and the fact that I won't let them take it from me. Fortunately I think my boss has a bigger bite than their boss, so we'll see who wins.But it got me thinking about the pros and cons of politics in the office. For one, you could easily use the politics to your advantage (if your smart about it). You could gain promotions, advance quicker, or just manipulate for fun. But on the other hand, it has the ability to drain every ounce of life out of you and make you just want to die. And that's the hand I'm sitting with today.
