Live and Learn

I recently had a birthday and realised a few things. First and foremost is that I still have so much left to learn.

But that got me thinking as well. What exactly have I learned lately?

First of all, I took a giant step forward on the list of things that MEN must accomplish before they die. I tied a bow tie. It took ages to learn (figure out), especially when everything on the internet just showed the beginning steps and the end steps. There this big thing called 'the middle' that they left out. Finally with the help of a downloaded video and a pause button I figured it out.

So I can tie a bow tie.

I also learned some very interesting things about life in general recently. Like, for example, that you can spend over one and a half hours talking about cakes. No joke. Who knew!? But not just the cake itself, but the decoration of said cake. For the longest time I always thought it was with icing or without; with a picture on it, or without; dark or light. Life was so simple. But not anymore, oh no.

So I can talk about cakes for almost 2 hours.

Just today I discovered something I never knew before. The tags on clothing have washing instructions on them. I already knew that of course, but the little symbols have sub symbols! No really. go look. Did you know, for example, that two little dashed lines underneath the triangle mean delicate? I sure didn't. Did you know that a washing machine with a spin cycle of 1500 rpm isn't really delicate?

So I can wash her clothes now and not ruin them.
