No subject matter, I dont hear it goin around / Minds over matter , they don't mind cause

So its been a strange ole' time here at my irritating company. I say 'my' but I really have nothing to do with how poorly run it really is.

So a few weeks ago I passed another certification exam, but got no praise (read: RAISE) or anything else really.

Then they decided that I was expensing to much in travel costs, so they thought (and I quote):

'I've got some news for you that will make you jump for joy!'

In fact the news was a company car. My direct answer was 'um, no thanks'. Why on earth would I want to take a company car and lose what little tax benefits I already have? My other half has a company car, and she gets hammered on the taxes for the so called 'taxable benefit'. (how on earth something taxable can be a benefitI don't know, but don't get me started on that one!)

So now they have decided that I should at least get the car allowance paid to me. Which means they give me a flat rate of money every month, and I have to drive my car all hell and gone. Mainly to our head office which is a 6 hour round trip extranaganza of joy on British A roads. That is of course assuming they aren't flooded.

So today we had a wonderful company announcement of... you guessed it: more redundancies! so why the hell are they paying me to drive all over the place when they are telling us we have to save more money... by cutting jobs. Save the £300+/month they want to give me, and put it towards saving some poor sods job.

But then they just tell you it comes from a different budget. I know a contractor who is being paid double all the permanent staff where he works, because the budget holder for permanent staff isn't allowed to hire anyone, but the other budget holder can spend what ever he wants on contractors........

so today I found a load of great jobs and applied for every one of them. Most of them replied back (way to fast) that the post had been filled.

I really need a change. This really is getting to be a bit much.
