In response to my brothers blog about how lame the superbowl is (and indeed the entire NFL for that matter) I thought I would post something about a real game with men playing with funny shaped balls.Rugby. More specifically, Rugby Union. Now I'll admit freely to not entirely understanding all of the rules, but after 5 years of dedicated viewing, I'm almost there. Now rather than go on at length about how much I enjoy watching Rugby, the only way to trully appreciate it... is to watch it. On Sunday just passed Wales faced Ireland in Cardiff (which in Wales for those in Canada reading this). It was one of the most grueling games I have ever seen. I've never watched a sport where they have 'Blood Replacements'. Watch the video below (via the BBC) and check out the guy... well watch it and see. After 20 minutes out, he was back on the pitch playing at full strength (with 5 stitches). You'd never see that in the NFL.
