Let me take you elsewhere, where you stand, there's a curse there
So I'm still stuck in this hell-hole of a job. and to make matters worse my boss has just pawned off a project that he has been working on for 2 months... on me. as if that wasn't bad enough, the only reason he did hand it over was because its crunch time and actual work needs to be done. so now I've got to try and figure out what on earth he has (and more importantly, hasn't) done so that I can try and sort it out and deliver the service on time, in budget, and to the customers satisfaction.which all leads nicely into... I still haven't heard anything about the new job. which is rubbish really. you would think after almost 2 weeks the agency could have at least called me. I did call him last week for 'interview feedback', but of course he never called me back. its unfortunate that businesses have started relying so much on agencies to get new employees... as they really are crap. I don't think I've ever had a good experience with one.
I used to work with a guy who had been an employment agent, and he said that almost 60% of the jobs posted on job boards are not real... they just post random jobs to fill their books with lots of 'candidates'. rubbish. which is why when you apply for jobs and call the agency, the are magically filled. regardless of the fact that you applied 30 seconds after the posting came up on line.
granted the guy was a bit of a bit of a liar, but there is a certain amount of truth in what he said.
anyway, i'll keep you all posted should i hear anthing about the job.
